Scrum Master at KIBO (Dallas, TX)

As we continue to innovate on the Kibo Commerce Suite and expand into new markets, we are searching for a technical, experienced Scrum Master to champion and facilitate our process. This person will work cross-functionally with the Engineering, Product, and QA teams, acting as a spokesperson and working to eliminate any roadblocks. Through their communication and leadership, they will ensure that each part of the organization is working in accordance with agile principles and completing all required tasks so that projects are completed on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Guiding a team to organization on Agile/Scrum practices and values

·       Guiding a team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks

·       Taking requirements from product teams and translating them into tangible action items for the engineering organization

·       Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.

·       Generating Team/Release Burn Down chart to measure velocity and communicate status to teams /management.

·       Providing transparency using Jira Dashboards for team members.

·       Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization

·       Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution within the scrum

Skills & Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

·       Experience in a Scrum Master role (Advanced Scrum Master Certification preferred)

·       Experience leading multiple scrum teams in an agile environment

·       Excellent Communication and Leadership skills

·       Experience working within Product organizations specifically, not just IT.

·       Previous Software Engineering experience

·       Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)

·       Release management experience.

·       Working Knowledge of JIRA and workflows/similar tools  

Preferred Skills/Experience

·       Experience working in SAFE OR WITH SAFE TEAMS.

·       Experience working with teams building code with Java and AWS.

·       Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc

·       Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games

·       Previous experience as a team lead or mentor
