Frontend Tech Lead at Critical Mass (Toronto, ON, Canada)

Critical Mass is seeking an experienced Technology Lead for with extensive front end development experience to join our team. In this position, the Technology Lead will collaborate with the Technology Directors, Project Managers, Creative Leads and Account leads to design, develop, and deliver applications implemented against defined technology platform and system architecture. The Technology Lead guides the technical aspects of projects and client work, from concept to leading the team through the implementation. Critical Mass Technical Leads deliver projects, manage teams, design, debug and deploy sites, and interact daily with Account Leads and Project Management Leads.  As the Technical Lead on projects, you will own the technical delivery of world-facing sites for world-class brands around the world.

You Will:

• 
  
• Collaborate with the Technology Directors, Project Managers, Creative Leads and Account leads to design, develop and deliver digital marketing projects on digital platforms
• 
  
• Leadership and coordination of Applications developers, CMS Developers, Web developers and Database developers
• 
  
• Prioritize and manage workload of a team of Developers, ensuring timely delivery and providing ongoing technical guidance
• 
  
• Ensure successful involvement of Project Management, Quality Assurance and Release Engineering team members
• 
  
• Provide input to Creative & User Experience counterparts, acting as a sounding board for new concepts and proposals
• 
  
• Develop code in keeping with established processes and standards
• 
  
• Assist with architecture and development of project code
• 
  

You Have:

• 
  
• 5+ years demonstrated development experience with hand-coding advanced HTML, CSS, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• 
  
• Experience developing with modern front-end tools and frameworks
• 
  
• 2+ years proven experience leading teams and delivering large web-based B2C projects
• 
  
• Adobe CQ or Adobe Experience Manager experience preferred
• 
  
• Knowledge of code and release management
• 
  
• Proven experience debugging large scale applications in production
• 
  
• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and proven leadership ability
• 
  
• Ability and desire to thrive in a fast-paced, client-services environment
• 
  
• Interest and ability to work in an environment which includes a mix of client services, technology, marketing and digital art.
