The Opportunity:


We are offering a 6 month contract, onsite in Charleston, SC or remote from anywhere within the continental USA.  You will be part of our engineering and development team, designing and implementing our most critical customer facing user interfaces as well as maximizing the efficiency and usability of internal tools.   The complete user experience is yours to own,  providing the complete user experience for our customers and internal teams using current agile practices, data-driven design choices, mock-ups, workflow optimization, and creative graphics design. 


How you will impact PhishLabs and our clients:



  • Creating wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps and screen flows

  • Creating application prototypes and graphic assets

  • Developing personas and usage scenarios

  • Analyzing numerous sources of input to produce designs that provide an optimal user experience, while also considering speed of implementation, extensibility, and effort

  • Analyzing user feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience

  • Conducting usability testing

  • Creating designs that support accessibility and globalization


What you need to SUCCEED:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design or related design field, or 5+ years of relevant professional experience

  • Exceptional design skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong conceptualization, visual communication, and drawing/mock-up skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work and contribute in a team environment

  • The ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • A love of learning about the latest developments in technology and software development and the desire to share your knowledge with your team

  • A desire to work in a startup environment


The Technical Stuff – Technologies Required & Preferred:



  • Strong technical background implementing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Well versed with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks and InVision

  • Experienced creating responsive designs that support multiple form factors including web, tablet, and mobile

  • Strong understanding of the tradeoffs between designs for graceful degradation versus progressive enhancement

  • Experience with component-based web architecture such as React, Angular and Symfony preferred
