We also transitioned from fire fighting operations mode to a innovation and devops culture.
In this process a new R&D area emerged which consists of a small team of research and software engineers.
What we are doing
- Building algorithms that help us with anticipated shipping, purchasing forecast and protects us against system failure.
- using image recognition to give our users the highest possible convenience and coolest features.
- using state of the art game engines to build virtual reality into our customer experience.
- Optimize product search and build data consistency monitoring.
- Help building a large scale architecture together with entire IT team.
The output will be nothing less than transform the way e-commerce works and to provide sustainable solutions.
What we are looking for
3+ years professional or research experience
- Comprehensive knowledge in statistics, probability and machine learning.
- Passion for solving standard and non-standard mathematical problems.
- Ability to explain data science insights to people with and without quantitative background.
- Fluency in R, Python, or Julia.
- Hands on/advanced experience with SQL.
- Experience in data visualization.
- Experience using Big Data toolstack (e.g. Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Cassandra, Hbase, or other non-relational DB) is a plus.
