U.S. News & World Report is seeking a Senior Systems Architect to manage and design enterprise technologies for its internationally trusted brand.

Responsibilities



  • Provide strategies and roadmaps for U.S. News corporate technologies, including email, disaster recovery, data privacy and cyber security.

  • Keep abreast on technology trends and steer U.S. News in a forward-looking direction.

  • Configure and manage corporate Windows servers, Active Directory, email systems, business continuity and security.


Qualifications:



  • Expert knowledge and extensive experience in configuring and troubleshooting Windows servers, Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.

  • Extensive experience in managing data backup, recovery and archiving.

  • Extensive knowledge in managing data privacy and security for sensitive and proprietary data.

  • Expert knowledge in managing mail filtering, anti-virus and anti-malware software on both server and client machines. Familiarity with modern up-and-coming security technologies.

  • Experience in working with Google GSuite, Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services.

  • Experience in managing Microsoft SQL servers.

  • Familiarity with scalable enterprise storage management, including SAN and NAS solutions, and highly-available configurations.

  • Interest in and willingness to assist with basic network/firewall management tasks (desirable).

  • Interest in assisting with enterprise Apple Mac administration, using Jamf and related software (desirable).

  • Strong oral and written communications skills.

  • 5 years or more of systems administration experience is a must.

  • A 4-year degree is a plus.
