We’re looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer to join the Product Development team.



The role is a senior position, responsible for building high-quality features that solve

problems for millions of customers, while maintaining strong development standards.



Based in beautiful Richmond, London, just by the riverside, you will join a team of over 40

engineers constantly innovating and delivering value to millions of people every day. We

work in an Agile environment in cross-functional squads, building features using

continuous integration and constant testing with our users.



The role




  • Build new and awesome experiences for customers, supporting bold business plans.

  • Develop features using continuous integration, ensuring quality and stability of the

  • platform.

  • Work in a cross-functional Agile squad alongside product, QA, UX and front-end

  • engineers.

  • Continually innovate and optimise our technology, tools and performance.

  • Mentor and support team mates, assisting with code reviews, technical strategy and hiring.

  • Promote clean, testable and maintainable code that is modular and scalable.



We’re looking for:




  • Experience required in: Java 8, Spring, JUnit and PostgreSQL.

  • Experience desired or interest in: Scala, Akka, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, Hadoop,

  • Jenkins, JUnit, ScalaTest, TestNG, Mockito and Cucumber.

  • Proven track record delivering high performant, responsive websites built with clean,

  • scalable and testable code.

  • Familiar with working in teams and delivering software using Agile methodologies.

  • Comfortable providing and receiving constructive criticism while participating in code

  • reviews.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with both technical and non-technical people.
