As a TECH LEAD Backend Engineer in our OMNI channel team you will be responsible for building new initiatives within our complex E-commerce landscape to make our customer journey seamless across all devices and channels (online vs offline).

Where you’ll be within Bestseller
Together with your colleagues you will work on OMNI channel initiatives such as return in store, ship from store, click and collect and loyalty programs. Personalisation and localisation will be key, which will challenge you to build flexible, secure and data driven applications.
What you’ll be doing
- Building new features into different micro-services within our AWS architecture
- Conducting code reviews and writing automated tests
- Defining improvements for the application(s) you’re working on
- Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices
- Defining improvements to our way of working
- Sharing knowledge with your team members
Who you are?
- 5 years of experience in agile backend development
- Experience in preferably Java or any other object-oriented programming language
- Extensive knowledge of software design patterns and principles such as DRY, SoC and SOLID
- Experience with Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and DevOps
- Experience in SQL, Kafka, Spring Boot, Scrum, Git, TeamCity, Docker, AWS and JIRA.
- Excellent English communication skills (our company language)
- Bachelor degree or higher computer science / software engineering (or similar)
