Project Overview:
Our group builds physical system simulations and automated decision tools for dismounted soldiers and autonomous vehicles (aircraft, undersea vehicles, etc.). Most of this work has an energy focus and involves fuel cells, batteries, solar arrays and other energy technologies. We leverage our experience in R&D to create software solutions for customers across DoD. We are seeking a software developer to join our team.
Excet seeks a developer who will work with the rest of our team of software developers and engineers to create a full-featured energy simulation for the US Army. The energy simulation application includes a web browser based user interface and a back end written in Golang. As this project matures, other software development opportunities that are currently in the pipeline are likely to become available.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 2-5 years’ experience with software development
- Proficient in at least one of the following: Python, C++, or Go
- Experience with Git/Gitlab
- Experience developing unit and integration tests
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, or an engineering or science field
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with physical system modeling and/or simulation
- Experience with Atlassian suite
- Front end development experience (React; nodejs)
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
