Our Financial Software Engineers are responsible for the integrity of the data most relevant to our operation; the instruments that we trade, the trades that we do and, ultimately, our financials.
Being able to rely on this data is crucial to our success; the more guarantees we can provide about the correctness of the data, the higher our level of confidence when taking trading decisions.
As one of our engineers you work together with the trading teams on the data models, processes and systems involved in our trading activities. You increase the integrity of the data flowing into our systems in the first place, and define solutions to gain further confidence, e.g. by reconciling against external data sources such as our clearers and financial data vendors.
Engineers who excel in this role are experts who understand the details of the domain yet maintain a broad view. By questioning previous approaches and influencing people from various disciplines, they optimise the effectiveness of relevant business processes, and steer for concise, simple and clean solutions.
The first step after applying for this job is an online (HackerRank) test assessing your programming fundamentals (in C++, C# and/or Java).
Understanding of post-trade processes acquired through previous working experience in a relevant mid-/back-office setting is desired.
