Open Source IoT C++ Software Developer at Arm (Cambridge, UK)

We are looking for talented software engineers to help build next-generation mobile apps for Pelion, the IoT platform that will be used to manage billions of IoT devices. This is a rare opportunity to have a major impact in the emerging IoT space.


What you'll do


You will be part of the team building an innovative framework including Cloud software, mobile app and end-device software. You will work in a predominantly open source environment collaborating with the team and other groups within Arm, commercial partners and the wider Pelion and Mbed community. You will use your experience and insights to craft our technology and the way we work.

You develop solutions that are as simple as possible, but no simpler. You take nothing for granted and nothing is someone else’s problem. You choose the right tool for the job. Job Requirements


Skills required:



  • You will have extraordinary C and C++ development skills, including experience with C++11 and 14.

  • You will have experience with mobile platforms (Android and iOS) and Linux.

  • You will have an understanding of user experience.

  • Your knowledge of operating system concepts will be highly beneficial.

  • Your Experience with continuous integration will be very useful.

  • Experience with version control, preferably git.

  • You will ideally be familiar with Agile development.


Desirable Skills



  • Knowledge of scripting languages, preferably Python will be appreciated

  • You will have knowledge of embedded software development.

  • Experience working on a large open source project.

  • Experience with network protocols such as BLE, NFC, WiFi, Thread…

  • Experience in iOS/Android development (Objective-C/Java)
