As a Software Engineer at IQVIA, you will be working within a group that has responsibility for testing many different applications. Current needs are for an engineer who will develop strategy (and implement it with automated tests) for testing performance of multiple products. You will be working in an Agile environment to improve the quality, reliability and performance of our applications. As we have teams in multiple locations, the ability to work with them on a daily basis, communicating effectively and leading/managing their work is essential.
Software Test Engineer
You will work collaboratively with the development team to design the architecture of our systems as well as deploy and operate them. You will keep a constant watch on technological developments. You will help automate and streamline our operations and processes. You will build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. And you will troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, pre-production and production environments.
Main responsibilities:
- Devise Performance test for multiple large-scale multi-tier, multi-tenant systems hosted on premise and in the cloud, by working with the Product Management, Developers and Operations teams
- Define Performance test process and tools standards
- Develop, integrate and maintain the most suitable performance test automation framework
- Design and develop load/stress scripts, performance load models simulating applications traffics
- Execute performance/Load test suites to measure throughput, latency, identify performance bottlenecks that cause SLA violations and to collect related resource data - network, system utilization (memory and CPU utilization etc...)
- Find, isolate, document, regress, and track performance defects through resolution
- Ability to determine future performance needs based on the continued growth of the software products by collaborating with Architecture, Development and Product Management teams.
Our ideal candidate:
- Engineer Profile with 4+ years of experience
- Experience troubleshooting performance of complex software problems
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Solid programming experience with one or more of the following (Java, C++, C#, Rest, Python, Angular JS)
- Solid experience with performance test tools (NeoLoad, HP load runner)
- Experience in Oracle, MySQL is required and good knowledge in query optimization and data analysis is required
- Demonstrated experience working with both functional and technical teams
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (English & French)
