The Desktop Domain R&D for Consumer Cybersecurity is currently looking for someone who has a strong hands-on quality engineering background and has the ability to lead and influence others. In this role, you have the opportunity to build a quality engineering vision for the domain and execute it. You will be working with experts who have built our antimalware (SAFE), VPN (Freedome) and password management (KEY) products for the Windows and Mac platforms.
In this job, you will:
- Be in charge of the quality engineering systems and processes for the whole Desktop Domain.
- Work with different teams within F-Secure: from domain, to Consumer R&D and even to different teams outside the business unit.
- Work with production teams to ensure that the needs of the quality engineers and the desktop products are well represented with every major technological shift.
- Understand the current processes, look at areas where we can quickly improve, as well as research into areas where we can bring our methods to the next level.
- Work on understanding, optimizing, improving and processing the telemetry sent by the products and use them to drive better product quality.
- Implement your ideas yourself, as well as work with other quality engineers, software engineers and product owners to bring your ideas to life.
- Gather feedback from different quality engineers and create a roadmap for improving the current state.
- Research and prototype available technologies that we can bring in house to improve our systems and processes.
While this is a complex role, where you will also be molding the role to fit the skillsets that you have, the following is a good guidance on what we expect you to bring to the table:
- Several years of hands-on experience in R&D processes: continuous integration, test automation and continuous deployment.
- Several years of hands-on experience in quality engineering processes, methods and systems.
- Experience in designing and building test automation systems especially for Windows and Mac client-side products.
- Experience in planning and executing projects.
- Experience in leading others in a team or a project.
- Bias for automation and artificial intelligence.
- An external-orientation - to always be looking out for what developments are out there that you can bring in-house.
- A good handle of the English language (both written and spoken)
