Do you think this could be you? We are looking for a Search Backend Developer (m/f) for our Product Discovery Team. In this position, you will develop software, which ensures we always show our customers the right product at the right time.
What you will do:
- Plan, prototype, build, and deploy software which understands which product a customer would want and when they would like to see it.
- Co-own our search architecture and keep a minimal set of documentation up to date.
- Continuously watch the market and improve your knowledge on search tools and recommendation systems, then spread it through our teams.
What you must have:
- Solid software development skills
- Proficiency in Scala (Elastic4s, Akka, Akka-Streams, Akka-HTTP, Cats, Circe are our most used libraries)
- Test-driven mindset
- Good communication skills, very fluent English
We appreciate if:
- You are familiar with ElasticSearch (as a search engine, not just as log storage for Kibana!).
- You think that complexity makes your job more interesting.
- You can deal with NLP methods and algorithms, data processing and analysis, you have experience with machine learning.
- You are open-minded, willing to learn new topics, and gather new skills.
- You like to work across functions to get the job done. Trying things like Frontend and DevOps don’t scare you.
- You are proud to show your github.com (or similar) account.
