Blockchain engineering team is looking for a passionate and experienced software engineer(s) to join its team of expert engineers to build out robust, enterprise level, performance and secure applications on distributed, decentralized platforms. There are multiple roles varying from full stack, distributed systems engineer to performance and applied cryptography engineer. Design and develop core components in the JPMorgan Quorum open source blockchain platform to meet protocol requirements and advances in the distributed ledger technology domain.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the core engineering team and open source community
- Design and build core Quorum components and business applications
- Implement rigorous and thorough testing practices to ensure the security and performance goals of blockchain infrastructure
- Design and implement blockchain supporting tools and utilities
- Implement rigorous and thorough monitoring and testing practices to ensure the security and performance goals of blockchain infrastructure
- Design and verify cryptographic protocols deployed in the blockchain
Required Skills
- At least 5 years as software development engineer or equivalent hands-on experience
- Backend or full stack development capabilities
- Experience with open source development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with distributed teams
- In-depth knowledge of applied cryptography
- Advanced knowledge in GoLang and at least one of the following programing languages:
- Java
- C++
- Javascript (Node)
- Haskell
- Experience using *nix environments
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Familiarity with using version control software
Extra pluses
- Financial industry experience
- Experience with Ethereum or other blockchain protocols
- Experience with developing smart contracts and Solidity
- Advanced knowledge of consensus algorithms
- Experience in building distributed or scalable systems
- Knowledge of authentication protocols
- Working with cryptographic software libraries (hashing, PKI)
- Working knowledge with Docker, Vagrant, or other container platforms
