About the role
We are a rapidly growing organisation and we're looking for a data team lead that is up for a challenge! In the last 12 months alone, we have doubled the amount of data we are generating. We have terabytes of data. Billions of rows. And being in the financial services game, we do a lot of very computationally expensive data processing. We want you to help us evolve our data architecture so that we can continue to scale and stay ahead of our growth.

What you’ll be doing
- Meet with team members regularly to ensure their requirements to perform are understood and their development needs are met
- Work with project managers/iteration managers to provide technical decision making for projects and initiatives.
- Conduct performance appraisals for team members.
- Work with the IT management to determine IT strategy for the effective delivery and maintenance of our products and platforms.
- Remain hands-on with the development of software including writing quality code and reviewing the work of others.
What you’ll bring
- Expert in SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Experience in a large scale reporting environment
- Leadership skills to enable team members to work autonomously providing guidance when necessary
- Demonstrated ability to construct software using established design and architectural principles.
