Role Objectives



  • Become an expert in Elastic’s market and solutions in a short period of time.

  • Infuse best practices into the development process to improve predictability and sustainability of software features.

  • Manage release cadence including defects and new features and coordinate with QA team lead and client service team.

  • Manage and balance developer workloads; identify and resolve bottlenecks and resource dependencies and conflicts.

  • Communicate regularly with key stakeholders in the business, including Development, Client Success, Sales, and Marketing.

  • Work directly with the COO to own the business outcome, commercial success, and usability of the Elastic platform.

  • Understand the market and end user’s needs, problems, and solutions. Synthesize these needs into a coherent set of requirements for review and collaboration with other team members.

  • Manage application design resources to develop best-in-class user experiences


Requirements



  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager

  • Experience building enterprise-level configurable software products

  • Experience with software development lifecycle (Agile/SCRUM development process)

  • Experience with software tools for managing Agile/SCRUM development process

  • Experience writing software requirement/functional design documents

  • Self-motivated, detailed-oriented, and passionate about exceeding expectations

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to excel both independently and collaboratively in a fluid environment


Bonus Points For



  • Strong knowledge of Javascript, Ruby, MongoDB environment.

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS

  • UI/UX background, ability to create wires

  • Ability to shred the backcountry, get to the shoulder, hike 14’ers, love bikram/vinyasa/flow, run 10k’s, or crush the driver

  • Experience in Software Development in a Javascript, Ruby, MongoDB environment.
