We are seeking a Senior Big Data Developer to become an integral part of the LJSA consulting team! You will be responsible for creating and modifying custom software and specialized data programs for the benefit of a retail client.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements and design/develop software solutions
- Work with customer project manager to meet specification needs
- Recommend software upgrades to optimize operational and application efficiency
- Collaborate with other developers to design and optimize code
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for other associates
- Troubleshoot and maintain implementations of large production solutions
Skills & Requirements
- 5+ years previous experience (roles are available for multiple experience levels) in software development, computer engineering, or other related fields
- Strong knowledge and experience with Java
- Strong knowledge of Teradata, Oracle, or SQL Server
- Experience with big data solutions and open source tech stack preferred
- Knowledge of Hadoop, Apache Kafka, Spark, SCALA, or Hive is a plus
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
