We are seeking highly qualified professionals that will contribute to our ongoing growth and success. We are seeking a qualified Tableau Server Administrator with overall System Administrator experience to join our Datacenter Operations team. Our ideal candidate is someone who has worked in a Systems Administrator role, and either transitioned to a Tableau Administrator role, or currently wears both hats.
The Datacenter Operations team provides responsible administrative oversight to the Inovalon infrastructure and provides stewardship for all critical applications and related systems. The ideal candidate is a person that strives to achieve excellence backed by strong troubleshooting, system management and administration experience.
- Understand and implement Tableau best practices & configuration
- Find, correlate, prevent and own complex problems from incident to resolution, implementing solutions to keep the business moving while driving root cause analysis to ensure problems do not resurface;
- Engage and service internal customers via Remedy incident management ticketing system;
- Develop and execute solutions to complex problems backed by thorough testing and engineering analysis;
- Gather and leverage metric data to prevent and uncover problems before they emerge;
- Use and build tools to deploy and manage Inovalon' s rapidly expanding infrastructure;
- Perform scheduled and ad hoc system maintenance on Inovalon infrastructure; and
- Participate in the departmental on-call rotation and maintain adequate availability.
- Passed Tableau Server Certified Professional exam, or have equivalent experience with Tableau engineering and operational support;
- 5-7 years' experience deploying and troubleshooting Server platforms, complex computing platforms, and/or cutting-edge technologies involving virtualization, distribution, and high availability;
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, technical field, or equivalent experience;
- Customer Service Focused – you maintain great relationships with your internal clients, you keep calm, courteous, and confident during stressful situations;
- Strong troubleshooter - you know every problem has a solution; you are unrelenting, persistent, and confident that you will find that solution, “Just reboot it” is not the fix;
- Mid-Level Experience with Windows server – building, deployment, troubleshooting;
- Some Experience with Linux - know basic commands and troubleshooting;
- Basic host level network troubleshooting experience;
- Scripting experience – must be comfortable with at least one scripting language and willing to learn PowerShell or others as required;
- Must have a strong sense of team focus, partnership, and collaboration. We are not looking for a lone-wolf;
- Possess a strong sense of ownership and urgency; the capacity to ensure a problem is not dropped, forgotten, or ignored. Not getting to the root cause of an issue annoys you;
- Participate in departmental on-call rotation; and
- Participate in scheduled and ad hoc system maintenance on Inovalon infrastructure.
