Who We Are looking For:
We are currently hiring a Software Engineer to join our growing Product Engineering team. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with various team members to execute on the Rubikloud vision. Ideally, you are passionate about delivering in a fast-paced environment and learning new things.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Building new software components and services that seamlessly integrate application backend with the machine learning pipeline and data ingestion service
- Designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines to support our applications
- Investigating new tools and developing utilities to make our development process better streamlined and our products more robust
- Performing code reviews to ensure the code is clean, understandable, and maintainable
- Assisting in defining, advocating and enforcing best practices
Who you are:
- Proficiency in Python development
- Experience with distributed computing (Spark)
- Experience with Big Data Processing
- Distributed File System (Hadoop/S3/Blob)
- Partitioning best practices
- Storage formats (CSV/Parquet/Avro)
- Pipeline architecture
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Passionate about writing quality software and good understanding of common software engineering best practices (DRY, KISS, loose coupling, high cohesion, etc.)
- Interested in the entire development cycle from requirements gathering to production deployment
