Lead Full Stack Developer at GumGum (Santa Monica, CA)

GumGum is looking for a Lead Engineer for its Dental division. GumGum has developed proprietary algorithms and tools to analyse digital dental X-rays. We are working with some of the largest service providers in the US. The lead engineer will work directly with our computer vision team to build dashboards, apis, integrations with third party dental solutions and manage its AWS infrastructure. This is  a senior role which may transition into management within one of the fastest growing divisions at GumGum. This division is run separately as a startup. The candidate should be willing to do different roles if required.


Job duties:



  1. Develop node.js and serveless apis for product dashboards
  2. Develop tools and scripts necessary for the product
  3. Integrate with third party dentistry software
  4. Ensure software engineering best practices
  5. Manage AWS infrastructure for dental division
  6. Manage nearshore team members as needed
  7. Interface with customers to gather data and requirements

Requirements:



  1. At least 2 years of Javascript, node.js experience is a must
  2. At least 5 years of total software development experience
  3. At least 1 year of React experience is a must
  4. Experience working with relational databases such as postgres or mysql is a must
  5. Experience in other software platforms or languages such as Python, AWS is preferred
  6. Previous startup experience is preferred
  7. Full stack software experience will be preferred
  8. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
