Purpose of the role
The Senior Security Analyst is a key member of our expanding cyber security program and will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing cyber threats, leading coordination of incident response activities to contain potential incidents and continuously evolving our cyber security detection capabilities to ensure information assets are adequately protected while enabling the business to operate efficiently.

You will be accountable to

  • Monitor cyber technology to detect cyber threats and triage to understand potential exposure 

  • Manage Computer Security Incident Response Team processes to handle, contain and resolve security incidents and emergencies.

  • Assist with security audits and threat/risk assessments to ensure compliance with security policies, standards and procedures, and work with stakeholders in taking corrective actions on any identified security exposures. 

  • Monitor threat intelligence data sources and determine applicability to the environment 

  • Continue to enhance monitoring capabilities based on an evolving threat landscape and previous lessons learned Identify, analyze and communicate information security vulnerabilities

  • Manage two or more cyber security products (e.g. anti-malware, intrusion prevent system, security containment, web application firewall, User Behavioral Analytics, Data protection) 

  • Meet with project teams and other system architects to develop system designs and project plans that include the appropriate security controls and meet security standards 


  • Your experience includes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent business experience

  • 3-6 years implementing, managing and monitoring cybersecurity technologies

  • CISSP or GCIH or equivalent certification required

  • Experience with security controls/mechanisms and threat/risk assessment techniques pertaining to complex data, application and networking environments 

  • Experience with security standards, protocols and technologies available for the UNIX, MS Windows Servers and web-based Internet e-Commerce technology environments

  • Advanced networking skills are required including WAN, Wireless, Firewall, VPN, Proxy and Intrusion Prevention

  • Knowledge of PCI-DSS requirements 

  • Assess, investigate and review events through a real time console

  • Understand vulnerability scan results and ability to track and effectively manage remediation activities

  • Understanding of emerging technologies in IT such as a Cloud Platform and Mobile BYOD as well as the associated security risks

  • Must have a firm grasp of concepts and technology across all IT areas to be able to spot gaps and develop appropriate controls

  • Performing risk assessments and security audits

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and have the ability to present ideas in a collaborative team setting and in a user-friendly language

  • Displaying a high level of initiative and organizational skills, along with being detail and action oriented
