You’ll join a newly formed team working on brand new products and greenfield initiatives. This includes a new Java-based messaging platform that deals with authentication and secure storage, transformation and transmission of messages via REST and SOAP services. You’ll also help build and a self-service administration web portal used by employers.

You’ll be part of a team building an extension to our flagship Superannuation product – Acurity. It provides responsive and flexible administration services for the management of superannuation, self-managed super funds, investment and post-retirement products. We service over 40 leading financial organisations with over 4 million superannuation accounts representing more than $250 billion dollars in funds.
You’ll join a newly formed team working on brand new products and greenfield initiatives. This includes a new Java-based messaging platform that deals with authentication and secure storage, transformation and transmission of messages via REST and SOAP services. You’ll also help build and a self-service administration web portal used by employers.
Lead the development of new features including technical messaging and web portal related components.
Stack includes Java 8+, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript and Aurelia
Tools include Bamboo, TeamCity, Git, JIRA, IntelliJ, AWS and Terraform
Take a leading role in the technical implementation and design of our online and integration applications.
Part of a small AGILE team that practices Test Driven Development (weekly/fortnightly release cycles)
Lead reviews of functionality from a technical and security perspective.
Collaborate with clients, testing and development teams to clarify technical requirements and implement the required functionality
Manage client expectations and assist in influencing decision making
Assist and mentor other team members through training and knowledge transfer
Champion secure coding practices within the team
One of the most innovatives teams within our Superannuation division (one of the first to host exclusively in AWS)
Shortly moving into newly refurbished CBD office which includes collaborative working spaces, games area, Friday quizzes, meditation room, free yearly flu shots and skins checks, bring to kids work days as well as flexible working opportunities

About You
Previous experience as a Senior Full Stack / Backend Java Developer, Senior Software Engineer etc
Solid Java knowledge and experience
Experience with web service patterns for software integration – previous experience with ebMS3 or AS4 highly desirable
Experience developing applications for AWS desirable
