The Job:
This is a high-level position for our small and growing tech team. We are actively growing both our tech team and our business-automation platform. As a result, we need someone who can grow with us. Immediate job responsibilities will include high level planning sessions with the owner of the company to help find the solutions that work best for the business. Then it is development time! We have quiet working conditions and aside from the usual daily standups and bi-weekly retrospectives, we spend almost 100% of our time focused on coding. We have rapid release cycles and high-visibility internally, which means abundant opportunities to show off your abilities and rise in our organization accordingly. Many aspects of our underlying technology stack are still being finalized, so there is an abundance of work to do for people who want to do more than just code in PHP/MySQL all day long. We are looking to hire senior-level developers that can become subject-experts on different parts of our platform, with the intention of being able to build teams around them in the future. Requirements:
- Must be in the Atlanta area or able to relocate quickly
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with PHP+MySQL
- 2+ years of experience writing your own unit/integration tests
- Ability to translate non-technical specifications into highly-functional code
- Experience with server configuration/management
- Experience with writing API endpoints
- Experience with any modern javascript framework
- Ability to work independently and see requirements through to execution with minimal supervision
Pluses:
- Experience with an Agile work process
- Experience with Elastic/Solr
