Revolving Credit and Pricing Technology (RCPT) is looking for an energetic and results oriented Programmer Analyst Advisor to join the Credit Card Services and Integration Team. This team is responsible for providing Credit Card Services that can be accessed by all technology groups within the bank.


Reporting to the Senior Manager Development, the Programmer Analyst Advisor must be proactive and dynamic, demonstrate initiative, and have an eagerness to learn, and thrive on challenge.


Key Job Accountabilities:



  • Assist in the analysis of business requirements in order to establish the technical feasibility of proposed initiatives

  • Evaluate problems and identify actions to be taken and recommend/implement solutions

  • Responsible for the assessment and scoping of projects (from a development work effort perspective) and develop the required supporting documentation.

  • Ensure a timely delivery of quality products/functions which meet end-user requirements and that are developed following development standards and methodology.

  • Conduct testing of new software releases to ensure successful implementation with no impact to existing code base

  • Contribute to the performance analysis (from an application and environment perspective) and make recommendations to improve operational effectiveness

  • Deal effectively with external vendors, external business partners, and internal stakeholders.

  • Effectively communicate with departmental application development team members, management, and with the wider Information Technology & Solutions (IT&S) Architecture Office.


Skills, Experiences and Functionl Comptencies:



  • Proficient in object oriented development : Java

  • Development of Web Services: REST/SOAP/WSDL/XML/SOA

  • Development on Pivotal Cloud Foundry Platform

  • Test Driven Development an asset

  • Spring Boot Experience an asset

  • Using Build tools: Gradle, maven an asset

  • Using Source control tool : Git an asset

  • Mulesoft an asset

  • Experience working in an Agile environment an asset

  • Credit Card and/or Financial Industry experience an asset


The individual requires:



  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, and is capable of multi-tasking and managing concurrent tasks and initiatives.                                                         

  • Must be flexible to adapt to a dynamic environment, make quick and sound decisions under pressure.                   

  • Strong interpersonal skills and can build and foster relationships with team members and peers.

  • Innovative approaches to developing process improvements and solutions; ability to convey and promote these ideas.

  • Working experience with systems development methodologies and software development technologies, concepts and lifecycle.


Education


  Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or technical equivalent
