Content Services Engineering is a cross-functional team of 15+ individuals that work on ingestion, curation, management and distribution of all of ProSiebenSat1’s Digital video content. We are responsible for all aspects of our content catalogue and own the paths our content takes from being initially ingested into our systems to being discovered by customers across all of ProSiebenSat1’s VoD offerings. We strive to design resilient and efficient systems that perform well at scale and provide a future-proof architecture for our Digital Entertainment business.

Our Tech Stack
- We are all-in on cloud-computing, micro- & nanoservices, DevOps/NoOps and a data-driven engineering culture
- We are developing in node.js, Java, Python and Go, building /(micro|nano)?services/gi that run on AWS (40+ services and counting)
- We are proponents of a serverless, message driven-architecture – some of our AWS Lambda functions handle billions of requests per day without flinching
- We solve challenging problems with the best tools at hand, often leading to big bets on cutting edge technologies - i.e. node.js v0.6.0 in production as early as 2012
What you can expect in this role
- You enjoy coding in node.js for backend services for web or mobile apps
- You are skilled in writing JavaScript Code (on Client & Server side)
- You have a lot of experience with RESTful APIs and Linux/ Unix environment
- You set high standards on clean code
- You got a good understanding of NoSQL and SQL (especially MongoDB)
- First interactions with ReactJS, React Native or GraphQL are a Plus
- You are passionate about mobile products such as native iOS / Android applications
- Ideally you graduated in informatics or got a similar educational background
Your essential experience and education
- Design and develop software components: high available, scalable, RESTful and written in Node.js
- Working on the centerpiece of ProSiebenSat.1 Digital: Bring your experience and knowledge of implementing REST APIs for Mobile Apps, Smart TVs and HBB TV platforms to bear and support exciting Projects form Prototype Phase to market-ready
- Continuously enhance existing Software Architecture Solutions (SOA) and NoSQL Data Structures and set direction for the Technology Stack of the next years
- Be part of the team developing internal and public projects and shape our vision of a modern engineering culture
- Support Frontend – and Application – Developers with your knowledge to connecting their Products to APIs
