SCLogic needs additional development staff to expand our industry leading mobile application into the iOS realm while continually being a part of the team in the evolution of all its development efforts, including a consumer facing application for campuses. Our developers provide input about the direction of our products and collaborate with the development team and other company departments, yet also have the autonomy needed to do their jobs effectively and with personal satisfaction. We need a permanent member of the team, working on location in Annapolis for at least the first six months with possible partial remote work thereafter. We will gladly consider relocating a strong candidate. A town that the company has chosen to call home for many years, we will be relocating to a new office in the center of the Arts District in Annapolis by the end of the year.
Responsibilities and Opportunity:
- Design and build iOS application based on existing Android native application integrating with our existing backend services.
- Continuing development of new features will require full stack development.
- Own end-to-end product from requirements to go-live to on-going enhancements and maintenance.
- Recommend improvements to software and serve as a key collaborator in departmental initiatives.
- Maintain proper documentation to ensure continuity.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and customer experience.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience and capabilities in Native iOS mobile application development
- Experience with Xcode, Swift
- Excellent UI/UX design skills.
- Strong understanding of MVC and other common design patterns.
- Experience in maintaining and improving iOS continuous integration and deployment practices
- Experience with source control (Git)
- Solid software development process skills.
- Fluent in English.
Pluses:
- Familiarity with Android native development
- Experience with hosting applications in Microsoft Azure environments.
- Experience with .Net application development.
- Familiarity with bar coding, RFID or other data collection technologies
- Experience with cross-platform development tools such as React Native
