Role:
As a Hardware & Sensor Systems Engineer you'll work with internal teams and external vendors to source various hardware and sensor solutions and integrate them into our autonomous power platform.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and source industrial system components, analog and digital electronics products including but not limited to LiDAR, radar, cameras, GPS, industrial PCBs and pressure sensors
- Develop and implement testing procedures to ensure sensors used within the system meet standards
- Design and develop testing apparatuses and simulation environments
- Analyze sensor test data to ensure system requirements are met
- Document sensor choices on the basis of safety and performance and create technical presentations for internal/external use as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS, or MS (preferred) in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or related technical field with excellent work experience
- 5+ years experience in embedded hardware development specifically working with various sensors, digital and analog circuit design/analysis, and testing/troubleshooting
- Experience evaluating industrial and IP-rated hardware components
- Experience integrating hardware components into a larger system
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with C/C++ and Python
- Experience designing PCBs
- Experience with wire harnessing
- Familiar with CAN protocol and GPS
- Experience in the Agricultural Industry
- Professional Engineer designation
