In recent years, Kongsberg has had a major focus on bringing the firm as a whole into a new digital world, and with the establishment of Kongsberg Digital, they took an important step towards realizing the Group's strategy by developing the next generation digitized products and services.
KDI currently consists of 500 employees with both heavy and broad competence within the entire range of IT. Here you will be part of a solid development environment where sharing experience and interdisciplinary cooperation are an essential part of their everyday life. There are about 60 developers in the company, which in turn are divided into 3 departments. The team to be part of will have a main responsibility within user experiences.
You will be part of an international team, with members in Bulgaria, India and Norway. As Design System Lead you will play an important role in the development and design of the Kognifai framework enabling development teams to deliver a consistent user experience. The system is a collection of web design solutions that are intended to be integrated into KDI`s internal projects. It is expected from you to play a pro-active role in developing awareness around the Design system, that it is easy to use by developers and meets user requirements.
ARBEIDSOPPGAVER
Kongsberg Digital today has a Design System that will be further developed with a number of new features and general optimization. Together with general project work, this role will have a major responsibility for this further development.
More specifically, the tasks will include:
- Further development of existing applications and systems
- Design associated with the interface of the various applications
- Integration of systems
- Delegation of internal assignments within the team associated with project work

- Completed relevant higher education
- Work experience with front end development
- Great interest in design
Personal fit is considered highly important in this role. As the role will be a major responsibility for the end product design, it is important that the person taking the role is detailed, triggered by large responsibilities in the form of work tasks and is generally keen to reach goals as through collaboration, over individual achievements.
