Product Manager at Harris (Burnaby, BC, Canada)

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and collaborative individual to join the Cayenta Product Management team. This team encompasses all of Cayenta’s CIS and ERP applications. The Product Manager will play a central role in the definition and development of the product portfolio and will assume responsibilities for our products. The successful candidate will engage with customers, drive the product vision, develop requirements, guide product development, and champion new product commercialization.


Key Accountabilities



  • Develop deep understanding of target customers and solutions for Utilities, Schools and Municipalities.

  • Define and document commercial requirements based on regular customer and partner engagement, competitive analysis, and deep understanding of technology market trends

  • Collaborate closely with R&D leadership on the management of new product development programs to expand our portfolio

  • Manage the full product life cycle, from concept to launch to mass production and end-of-life, ensuring the success and profitability of the portfolio

  • Work daily with the Sales team and partners in support of new customer opportunities, including pricing, proposals, training, webinars, demos, etc.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to drive product positioning, product launch and other commercialization activities

  • Manage a small team including the UX Designer and a Requirements Analyst.


 Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar discipline or equivalent experience. A business degree such as an MBA would be an asset. 

  • A proven track record of successful Product Management roles in.

  • Experience managing new product programs with outsourced development organizations.

  • Familiarity with the mid to large utilities market is an asset.

  • Previous experience managing software development projects

  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
