Full stack Java Developers required for a 6 months and extendable contract based in Melbourne CBD.

Your new role 

This role is for CitiPower and Powercor. They are among Australia’s largest electricity distribution networks.

Purpose of Role

• 
  
• As a member of the Digital Channels Team, develop, enhance & extend the features & functions provided by the Digital Channels platform
• 
  
• Actively participate in the agile project delivery.
• 
  
• Provide assistance to other members of the Digital Team in the areas of subject matter expertise.
• 
  

What you'll need to succeed 

Experience/Qualification

Full stack Developer/s with small-team experience of agile development using DevOps techniques for cloud-located (AWS) applications (interactive web-facing & event driven).  Must be broad thinking, full of suggestions & ideas (this means answers to questions, not just questions) as well as technical ability with a desire to contribute & a can-do attitude.

Essential Experience

• Cloud (AWS preferably) platform based development.
• 
  
• Agile project delivery proficiency & active participation.
• 
  
• Strong track record of developing utilising the technology stack & tools mentioned below.
• 
  
• Expertise in utilising DevOps tools & automation utilising the technology stack & tools mentioned below.
• 
  
• Building secure:
  
  • 
    
  • Interactive web-facing interfaces & dashboards with intuitive navigation/s & seamless validations etc (eg Customer self-service dashboard).
  • 
    
  • API functions & procedures.
  • 
    
  • High-performance event driven applications orchestrated by scalable workflow/s.
  • 
    
  • Administrative dashboards.
  • 
    
  
  
• 
  
• Testing
• 
  
• Aptitude to understand & interpret business processes & requirements.
• 
  
• Strong documentation & communication skills.
•
