DevOps Engineer (f/m) at Finiata GmbH (Berlin, Germany)

Your day-to-day challenges:



  • Working with established DevOps frameworks (Terraform, Serverless), to maintain our infrastructure (hosted on AWS & Heroku)

  • Planning and implementing expansions to our current infrastructure

  • Ensure overall health and performance of our platform, working on monitoring, issue diagnosis and resolution

  • Improving the security and availability of the platform

  • Contributing to the overall design of the platform’s new features

  • Continuing migration to AWS/Terraform

  • Developing supporting tools

  • Collaboration with developers and QA in addition to establishing a real DevOps culture


Your skills include: 



  • Willingness to learn about / experiment with new platforms, technologies and tools

  • Self-management and Team-collaboration

  • Pragmatic problem solving and strategic thinking

  • Experience with:


    • AWS, Heroku

    • Infrastructure as Code frameworks (Terraform, Serverless)

    • Scripting languages (Bash, zsh)

    • Development Tools (git, JIRA)

    • Continuous Integration tools (CircleCI, Bamboo, ys,Travis or Jenkins)

    • Deployment and Configuration Management Tools


  • Monitoring and logging tools (Papertrail, CloudWatch, AppDynamics/Logstash/Nagios, Graphite, collectd, Nogios/Icinga, ELK stack, Rollbar, or Splunk)

  • PostgreSQL administration

  • Basic knowledge of SQL


Bonus points: 



  • Deploying Ruby/Python based applications and JavaScript SPAs

  • Infrastructure management/orchestration tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Serverless)

  • Continuous Integration and/or Continuous Delivery

  • Virtualized and containerized environments (such as Docker, KVM, vSphere)

  • Nginx or Apache

  • Knowledge of agile approaches and experience participating in an agile team
