Summary

Comcast Technology Solutions (CTS) Bespoke Engineering Team works with a variety of customers to deliver world class internet video delivery solutions.  We are hiring a Software Engineer to be a contributor on a team that works across various products, delivering customer-requested features.  This role is a great opportunity to gain experience designing, implementing, and delivering consumer scale internet video services.

As a member of this team you will use Java and cloud technologies including Kubernetes, Docker and a variety of AWS services.  You will build services that integrate with our core product and customer systems to provide media metadata and workflow solutions, e-commerce integrations, and power end-user video experiences.  You will work closely with customer-facing Solution Architects in our Seattle and London offices to ensure that solutions successfully meet functional and scalability requirements.  You will also work closely with internal product engineering teams to enhance CTS core services and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement applications and services using Java technologies.
• Participate in a highly iterative agile development process as part of small cross-functional engineering team.
• Test and diagnose issues in complex distributed systems.
• Collaborate with Product and Solution Architects to plan and estimate releases.

Requirements

• Solid Java programming experience.  
• At least 5-8 years experience in the design and development of highly available internet applications and large scale distributed systems.
• Strong software testing skills and experience with Continuous Delivery practices.
• Demonstrable talent for elegant object-oriented design.
• B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline.
