Production formats for immersive and interactive audio
Are you interested in multimedia formats for production and storage of immersive and interactive audio experiences? You love programming and want to help develop and standardize professional worldwide formats?
In that case, we have the right job for you!
In the Audio Department of the Audio & Media Technologies Division at Fraunhofer IIS, you will have the chance to develop the software for the next generation of worldwide audio production formats for live broadcast and post-production use cases. You will plan and design software architectures and create, implement, and test various audio and transport formats. In addition, you will implement software modules across platforms together with an international team in agile project workflows. The products of our work will be deployed worldwide in professional production and post-production tools.
The following makes out the ideal candidate for the position
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Natural Sciences
- Solid programming skills and knowledge in C / C++
- Basic knowledge of digital signal processing, particularly related to audio signals
- Knowledge in the field of common multimedia and audio coding formats
- Experience with audio production tools and DAW software
- Good oral and written communication skills in both German and English
