This is a short term contract for developing a Cordova-like Xamarin app that is a shell for a browser that does the bulk of our applications work, and adding some native capabilities to supplement the browser. The final output is similar to a Cordova app, except we want more granular control of the results.
The final app will go into the Apple, Google and Microsoft stores, and is not expected to change significantly after initial development.
The final product must have iOS, Android, Mac and Windows outputs, from a mostly common code-base.
Common functionality that will need to be in the native app includes:
- Support for camera, badges, alerts, etc.
- Support for reading barcodes and QR codes with the camera and passing them to the browser component
- Come common interfaces between the native audio system and the Dragon Speech Kit using the SpeechKit API
- Some granular control corner cases for modifying how the web-browser component works (e.g. block certain types of navigation)
You must be experienced in this exact type of application, not a generic developer.
