You'd be filling a position in new branch of our integrations team that specializes in building lightweight apps and APIs in Node.js, which are crucial part of Egnyte’s Ecosystem. The team owns separate infrastructure (Kubernetes containers orchestration) and has a lot of independence in terms of choosing technologies and tools to use.
What We Need:
We are looking for a talented Node.js JavaScript Engineer with solid servers / infa related background, who will join new branch of integrations team and will help to kick off development of brand new public API playing key role in building ecosystem around one of Egnyte’s newest core products, Egnyte Protect.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Node.js services altogether with tools around it
- Participate in continuous product and process improvement
- Encourage good practices and tools adoption
- Partner closely with Solution Architects and Product Team to build scalable solution
Must Have:
- Proven experience from building Node.js services with Express or similar framework
- Good understanding of REST and API designs
- Experience in debugging Node.js applications and performance analysist
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript & ES6/7
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Docker & containers orchestration with Kubernetes
- Production experience with highly scalable on-demand applications (SaaS)
- Knowledge of scalable, stateless and asynchronous design principles
- Knowledge of databases and SQL, preferably MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Architect mindset, opinions on patterns and technologies
- Experience with Agile/Scrum software development
