Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize and implement bug-free solutions
- Meet project deadlines by understanding and analyzing requirements, designing, developing and testing solutions
- Solve complex problems by leading analysis and development of technical solutions
- Determine optimal solution designs based on the assessment of costs, risks, complexity and benefits
- Contribute to the team and ensure mutual success by providing guidance for development, testing and problem resolution
- Provide status reports and identify/escalate issues as appropriate to the relevant project stakeholders
- Become knowledgeable in the Software/Hardware architecture of the company’s products, including system configuration, database schema, functions, indexes, and views
- Provide assistance with testing and problem resolution as may be required
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or other related filed or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years’ job related experience with backend or full stack development
- Experience with Java, Python or C# RESTful backend services
- Experience with MySQL and Postgres databases
- Experience creating and maintaining AWS environments including RDS, Aurora, Redshift and Lambda services.
- Experience following Agile Software Development methodologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills
- Must be a self-managing, motivated, technically savvy individual
- Strong client-service orientation
- Proficient knowledge of MS-Office products including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Willingness to commute to uptown Dallas office location
- Desire to help grow an early stage company!
Nice to Have:
- Experience leading small teams of developers
- Experience implementing Payment Processor/Ecommerce systems (i.e. Stripe, Braintree, etc.)
- Experience integrating with SOAP backend services
- Experience operationalizing R or python based machine learning models
