Funding Circle is looking for an experienced security incident response professional to join our Information Security Monitoring and Incident Response team. The team detects security threats by systematically identifying indications of compromise, triages them, and manages incidents through containment, forensic analysis, and remediation. This role will be responsible for two functions:
- Managing security incidents affecting our European business, and for follow-the-sun incident handoff from the United States during normal European working hours.
- Evaluating and deploying tools that automate collection, processing, and evaluation of monitoring data.
Our ideal candidate will have
- Hands-on time in a Security Operations Center
- Experience conducting forensic investigations and incident reports
- A desire to learn from incidents and the ability to translate those lessons into practical process and/or control changes
- A passion for process and documentation
- Experience conducting proof-of-concept evaluations of software and SaaS
- Experience integrating multiple log streams to generate holistic views of the state of security in an organization
- A working knowledge of Python programming
- Excellent communication skills
- A personality that encourages others to share a passion for security
- Technical expertise in cloud-based services and infrastructure
