Why You’re Needed
We are looking for a self-motivated Sr. Java Developer who are well versed in Java, hibernate, Spring and MySQL to help take our second stage startup to the next level. You will be part of a high-performing Engineering team developing core products for our clients while improving the scalability of our Engage360 platform.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities without being provided explicit direction. Having a solid understanding of AWS is a bonus.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze user requirements in partnership with Solutions Architect; envision system features and functionality.
- Design and develop Restful API used by Front End Systems following HTPP standards by managing features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.
- Implement system solutions by using toolsets as defined by overall systems architecture and recommend solutions.
- Complete applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
- Develop system tools documentation and assistance tools.
- Updates job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products; participate in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations.
- Enhance organization by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
What You’ll Need
- Proven work experience in Reactive programming
- Experience designing data models built in MySQL
- Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Git and JIRA
- Modeling Skills
- PHP experience using Drupal is a plus
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering a plus
- Financial technology or payment card experience a plus
- A passion for, and experience with, agile software development and improving consumer experience
- The ability to make trade-off decisions between possible and desirable, which requires a good sense of technical feasibility
- Enjoyment for working in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment
