Software Developer (Backend) for iOS Applications at Apple Inc. (Elk Grove, CA)

We are looking for an experienced backend developer with a solid understanding of iOS technologies with a primary focus on development of server side logic for obtaining and maintaining data for enduring highly responsive requests form an iOS app. As a member of our innovative group, you will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to be part of a new project and shape the way users get their support needs fulfilled.

Key Qualifications:
5+ years developing back end systems and APIs
5+ years of development experience in Java
Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
Strong object-oriented design skills
Extensive Client-Server protocol & API design skills
Hands on experience publishing(JSON API standard) and consuming webservices
Expertise with continuous delivery systems using GIT and Jenkins
Ability to express ideas clearly within the team and across other groups.
Strong focus on Test Driven and Behavior Driven Development (TDD/BDD) using XCTest
Experience working on DevOps automation tools.
Expertise with logging and monitoring infrastructure (Splunk)

Description:
You will be designing and developing a secure and scalable back end system, REST APIs, and distributed systems to support iOS applications. You must be comfortable with rapidly evolving designs and requirements, and have excellent interpersonal skills. Throughout the process, you will work collaboratively with our team of engineers, and partner with other teams such as QA and Operations.
The individual must be self motivated, an excellent problem solver and a fast learner. Very strong technical skills and demonstrated experience in developing back end systems and APIs. The candidate will work with talented engineers in a fast paced, technically demanding environment to deliver new features.

Education:
BS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
