A Cloud Guru is the world's leading provider of online IT education. We focus on providing high-quality, affordable and engaging on-demand video courses to hundreds of thousands of professionals. We help our students learn new skills, gain valuable industry certifications, and excel in their careers.
In 2018, we are seeking to expand our course catalogue and hire additional instructors and content creators to join our content team on a full-time basis.
What we are looking for
You are a technologist and an expert in your field who wants to teach others. You are passionate about imparting your knowledge to others and can explain technical concepts to experts and complete beginners alike. You are driven and self-motivated but are open to feedback and new ideas.
You will work with us to create engaging video courses and short-form content on one or more of the following topics:
- AWS
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Cloud Platform
- Containers
- DevOps
- Data and Analytics
- Security
- Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
The following are the key responsibilities of this role (full-time or part-time/freelance). You will:
- Work with the VP of Content and Content Manager to develop detailed plans and outline of the courses and content you will produce.
- Develop video courses and/or short-form content in your area of expertise.
- Create additional content such as blog posts and quizzes to complement your courses if they are needed.
- Engage and help students on A Cloud Guru forums.
- Update, curate and maintain your content (including replacing outdated videos and fixing bugs)
- Participate in planning sessions and contribute to A Cloud Guru curriculum
- Peer-review and assisting with the QA process for other instructor's courses
- Occasionally perform in-person workshops

Our team is spread across the globe - mainly the US and Australia. Our engineers, designers and content team work together out of our office in Melbourne, Australia.
For this position we will need you to join our team in our office on Queen Street in Melbourne. We prefer hands-on collaboration so this position is not available for remote workers. Unfortunately we're unable to sponsor people into Australia at this time.
