We are currently looking for a Release Manager to join our Paris office. As a Release Manager, you will own the Release Management life cycle which includes scheduling and coordinating releases by working closely with the engineering team, product team, QA team and support team. In addition, you will need to work on a long term strategy to improve the efficiency and quality of existing processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments.
You will report to the VP of Engineering.
What You Will Be Doing
- Define Release schedule for the year
- Set the scope of each release, in collaboration with the Product and Engineering teams
- Monitor the delivery of the expected scope for a given release
- Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
- Communicate all key requirements, QA plans, schedules, and scope changes
- Manage the day to day process during release periods
- Partner with QA Lead to help improve release management processes linked to continuous integration and deployment
What You Need for this Position
This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, and the ability to quickly prioritize. You will need plenty of foresight, and be able to coordinate and solve problems quickly..
We are looking for someone with:
- Good communication skills (chairing meetings, negotiation, handling conflicts)
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking
- Tracking and reporting skills
- Good understanding of project management life cycles
- Ability to work under pressure
- Demonstrable leadership skills
- Fluent in English and French
You should have experience with most of the following:
- 2-4 years of previous release and/or project management experience in a software company
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
- Experience in governing agile projects’ life cycles
Bonus:
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Quality Assurance processes
- Experience with tools like Atlassian suite, etc.
- Fluent in Portuguese
