Lead Front-End Engineer (Web)

Datamarx is a digital economy, designed to democratize data collection and facilitate real-time collaborative decision-making.
Our software suite is comprised of our proprietary, cloud-based Data Management Platform, Web Applications, Native Mobile Apps (iOS and Android).
We are seeking an outstanding Font-End Engineer to contribute to development of new and innovative UI experiences for our web applications. Working within our highly skilled team, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the creation of our web applications from the ground-up, and will substantially impact a diverse range of new products at Datamarx. Working within our Front-End team, and in conjunction with our design team, the beautiful experiences you make will become tangible journeys at the fingertips of our users.
We emphasize focus on quality output and adhering to best industry-standard practices within software engineering, and will provide you with an environment in which you can creatively thrive with full support from our tech team and executive management. As a Front-End Engineer, you will be an integral part of our tech team, and will work closely with our API and Backend developers to create a fantastic user experience capable of interacting with a range of different database types. Your role will require collaboration with the design team, as well as senior management, in our agile development workflow that involves coordinated short-term sprints to implement long-term progress milestones.
Role & Responsibilities
We are looking for and outstanding Front-End Engineer who can lead applications to the next level. Your responsibilities at Datamarx will include:
- Development of web applications and widgets
- Creating frameworks and platforms to rapidly adapt and change our applications to the market needs
- Working closely with our data team to facilitate clear visual representation of data returned by analysis tools
- Recommend and be a force of change to keep our application best in class and always updated with latest and greatest technologies
- Implementing new features and prototyping innovative ideas
- Continually brain storming ways to improve interactions within our products
- Creating and fine-tuning animated transitions that bring our platform to life in a unique and engaging way
- Lead and mentor junior developers
Required Skills & Competencies
- Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (jQuery, AngularJS, Angular2)
- Experience with PHP (Symfony, Doctrine) is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of TDD, REST concepts, AJAX and JSON
- Good understanding of computer fundamentals, data structures, algorithms
- Knowledge of Blockchain and Crypto-currency is a plus
- Self-starter and independent thinker
- Ad-tech experience a plus (creating visually appealing ad units)
- MySQL, MongoDB experience a plus
