Who we are Sales Technology within the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB)
The Sales Technology team is responsible for delivering an ecosystem of functionality that enables our sales people to be better informed, more efficient, and continue to provide extraordinary client service and product delivery.We do this through a well-defined strategy, execution, assessing emerging trends, technologies, electronic platforms, potential partnerships and building digital products that will transform the way we, and our clients, do business.We focus on Sales across Equities, Fixed Income and Investor Services organizations within the CIB.
The Role:
Sales Technology is hiring a hands on and applied architect to provide engineering leadership. You will work to understand the business goals and translate into a technology platform strategy. The successful candidate will then work with development teams on initiatives and projects to bring this to reality. This is a hands-on role and the successful candidate will be comfortable working with Sales heads and CTOs through to white-boarding solutions with lead engineers. The role is not primarily software development although we prefer a candidate who retains interest and is up to date on latest technologies and practices.
Responsibilities
- Work with business and technology stakeholders to define application and data strategy
- Take the architecture lead in responding to major initiatives impacting Sales technology
- Drive key projects within the domain and support teams from requirements through design and execution
- Establish effective architectural governance for Sales through early and close partnership with projects and teams
- Drive data architecture of sales including logical data models, sourcing strategy and front end BI tool strategy
- Be the point of interface to other domains in the bank and define inter-domain architecture
Qualifications
- Deep knowledge/experience of at least one functional area of markets (sales, trading, pricing/structuring, risk management, etc)
- Bachelor or Masters degree in a STEM discipline
- Experience in solutions architecture and/or leading architecture for an organization of any size
- Team player with excellent communication skills and ability to work with and influence across teams
- Confident in communicating with senior sales stakeholders, product, engineering and production
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience within sales, trading or electronic trading technology
- Mature understanding of data governance and data management
