Sr. Developer Description
CrossComm is a small, dedicated, professional group of developers who love to learn and stay on the cutting edge while maintaining high standards in our development. Due to the size of our team, Senior Developers have to wear many hats and feel comfortable in each role as described below:
Developer - You should feel comfortable working with new technologies and solving difficult challenges. Very little of what we do is boilerplate or repetitious.
Architect - You should be able to understand client and server and their interactions, to know how to model data and have the foresight to mitigate risk in projects through planning.
Project Manager - Our Senior developers will need to know how to delegate work and make it clear to other engineers the best way to tackle a larger system. We’re not expecting a certification, but you cannot feel that making tickets and keeping track of progress is beneath you.
Mentor - We have a cherished company culture where any engineer can ask questions and learn from our shared experience. We would expect you to feel comfortable being a teacher and a learner as team members require.
Sales Engineer - Our Senior developers are customer facing. You should feel comfortable representing the company in sales meetings and during regular project meetings. Experience in professional communication is a must.
If these varied roles are intriguing to you, we’d love to talk. Along with a large responsibility, we grant and expect large amounts of autonomy to grow and expand your role.
CrossComm is seeking a Senior Developer with a strong professional history of software architecture and development, ideally with experience in leading a development team- and candidates *must* have this level of significant demonstrable experience in order to receive initial consideration.
