The Clearinghouse for Military Family Readiness is currently seeking a Lead Web Programmer/Developer to join our dynamic team.Responsibilities include: leading a team of programmers in developing cutting edge products; providing project management oversight; leading the development and future features of an internal learning management system, including web design and development utilizing RESTFUL APIs, Node.js, Express and Angular; coordinating with Clearinghouse staff in the development of web-based learning products; and keeping abreast of technologies that might be used to enhance our collaboration and information delivery capabilities.The ideal candidate will have formal education or experience with HTML, CSS/Sass/Less, JavaScript, JQuery, Grunt, Gulp, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Express, Angular and/or React, MongoDB, PHP and MySQL.Knowledge of git workflow techniques is preferred.The successful candidate must possess strong writing and oral communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal, organizational, and managerial skills.The candidate must also be able to work efficiently and effectively in both independent and collaborative situations; being a team player is an essential part of the job.For the right candidate, and under the appropriate circumstances, the option for remote work is available for discussion. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
