Named as one of Deloitte’s Fast 50 2015 Companies to Watch, we are rapidly growing and we are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with various team members to execute on the Rubikloud vision. Ideally, you are passionate about delivering in a fast-paced environment and learning new things.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Design and implement Rubikloud’s product platform that provides access to our leading edge data science and big data platforms.
- Build new software components and services that seamlessly integrate user interface with backend services such as machine learning pipeline, data ingestion service, etc.
- Design and implement business intelligence and analytics services that integrate with other data science and big data services.
- Continuously improve the performance, scalability, extensibility, stability, and cost effectiveness of our frontend and backend architecture.
- Review product requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- Perform code reviews to ensure the code is clean, understandable, and maintainable.
- Perform unit testing to ensure the code is robust and solid.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with any common programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#.
- Solid knowledge/experience in object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Previous experience owning development deliverables and system design.
- Experience in relational database (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL).
- Ability to write SQL to fetch complex data set.
- Proficient communication skills and ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt and learn in fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results under strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to define and build software best practice.
Nice to have:
- Experience in troubleshooting in a production environment is a plus.
- Familiar with micro-service architecture and RESTful API design.
- Experience with any of the following technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Spark, Pandas
- Experience working on any major cloud provider: AWS/Azure/GCP
