Java SDK Software Engineer(s) (f/m) at Payworks GmbH (Munich, Germany)

What you will do...

You will work on a Java SDK used by merchants and developers worldwide to accept and manage payments on various platforms, mainly Android and Windows. You will:

  • Build an SDK that other developers love and that helps them integrate various kinds of payments in their app.

  • Integrate different kinds of card readers, printers and other hardware.

  • Automate our processes and improve their efficiency while remaining confident in the quality of the releases.

  • Quickly take on technical responsibility for various components of our solution while constantly contributing your own ideas and tools.

  • Work in close collaboration with other developers, Product and QA departments. You will also have the chance to acquire knowledge in the rapidly changing payments market by working with our business guys and clients.

Skills & Requirements

What we are looking for...

  • You are an experienced software engineer with a few Java-based projects under your belt.

  • You know it takes more than just writing code to build and deliver great products to clients.

  • You keep cool when you are shifting bytes to interact with card readers.

  • You have a need for snappiness and experience with  multithreading and asynchronous programming.

  • Not mandatory, but certainly a plus:  experience with creating libraries or frameworks for other developers, experience in Android or Windows development.
