Data Scientist cutting-edge AI tools for financial news at Exabel (Oslo, Norway)

Explore, build and deploy machine learning models for finding and ranking relevant information from natural language sources, and make models that combine these models with observed time series. Work directly with the Director of Data Science to relate real-world events to effects in the financial markets.


A bit about you



  • You are on top of recent developments in deep learning for natural language processing/generation (question answering and information retrieval are key subareas)

  • You are a creative force who sees opportunities when you see data, and can formulate these into cogent analyses or data and/or machine learning pipelines.

  • You care about communicating your ideas, and you are an active sparring partner on how to use data to create value for users


Desired skills



  • Working experience with pytorch, keras or tensorflow

  • Hands-on experience using deep learning for natural language processing/generation

  • Experience with deploying machine learning services to production systems - preferably using REST or gRPC

  • Knowledge about how recommender systems work

  • Basic (or more) knowledge about reinforcement learning

  • Interest in exploratory data analysis and visualisation
