Quantcast is hiring a Senior Manager, Publisher Engineering to work on the Publisher team in our San Francisco office. We have created one of the world's largest, living data-sets and we use it to bring unparalleled relevance to online advertising. By utilizing technology and big data to understand digital audiences, Quantcast solves the biggest challenges in marketing.
As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will work directly with customers and product managers to identify key needs and requirements in order to deliver value to brands. You’ll have a chance to showcase and sharpen your cross-functional expertise in areas from large-scale computation, systems architecture and through to front-end web apps. You will completely own the operations and architecture of your product and be an integral part of the product design and customer feedback cycles. You'll have access to our complete tech stack and company resources to run this business critical team. The Publisher Engineering team is responsible for developing Quantcast’s SaaS data products, Quantcast Measure, that deliver valuable audience insights, reporting and measuring products to publishers and brands. The Publisher Engineering team works with the Product Managers and our customers to help define and refine product and ideas.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and grow a team of software engineers
- Work with Product Managers and Product Designers to understand the customer’s needs and design and develop state of the art solutions or these customer’s use cases
- Ensure deliverables are on time and in high quality
- Balance building operational improvements against new feature development to ensure an operationally excellent product while delivering against the customer’s requirements
- Drive exceptional systems and product quality
Requirements
- 10+ years building web-based system, with at least 5 years as a Software Development Manager
- Skilled at bridging the systems/business divide and making technical decisions to best serve the customers
- Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a cross-functional software team
- History of leading teams through the delivery of complex products from inception through development, delivery and refinement
- Expert in agile methodology
