Job Description
Seeking a Web Applications Developer with a front-end focus for new development and maintenance of an existing MVC and Web Forms production application. Candidates with the ability to exercise strong “whole system” and critical thinking skills are necessary to thrive in the evolution of this growing application. Candidates must also be able to effectively collaborate in an agile-based environment with co-workers to identify and scale technical specifications from the functional needs outlined by Project Management, define/estimate effort and duration for timebox sprints and overall timelines, as well as develop, design, implement and follow best practices, policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
• Design and develop web applications (utilizing technologies and tools outlined below)
• Communicate effectively with technical and business resources to meet customer needs
• Collaborate with team members to develop, design, and implement new applications
• Follow best practice policies and procedures
• Be willing to accept guidance, show critical thinking skills, and be self-driven and action oriented to provide alternatives throughout the lifecycle.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS or Computer Science Required
• Candidates need 5+ years of development experience
• Must be able to use Microsoft C#, ASP.NET, MVC, TFS, Git, WCF, and RESTFul Services
• Must have recent experience with Kendo, Javascript, JQuery, HTML, and CSS
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of OOPs, LINQ, and Lamba Expression
• Understand dependency injection
• Experience with agile process development practices, particularly Scrum & XP approaches
• Strong critical thinking skills
• “Whole System” thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail and active listening skills
Preferred but not required:
• Experience using Moq, Telerik tools, and Web Forms
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and SQL stored procedures, functions and triggers
• Multi-tenant website application development experience
• Amazon AWS experience
• Understanding of Separation-Of-Concerns
